متن کاملLow-energy signatures of charge and spin fluctuations in Raman and optical spectra of the cuprates
We calculate the optical and Raman response within a phenomenological model of fermion quasiparticles coupled to nearly critical collective modes. We find that, whereas critical scaling properties might be masked in optical spectra due to charge conservation, distinct critical signatures of charge and spin fluctuations can be detected in Raman spectra exploiting specific symmetry properties. We...
متن کاملAntiferromagnetic spin fluctuations in CeRhSn
We have carried out Sn nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurements on the quasi-Kagomé compound CeRhSn. We found that Sn Knight shift sKd is highly anisotropic and shows Curie-Weiss type temperature sTd dependence above 25 K. In this T range, the NMR relaxation rate shows s1/T1d~ÎT and is enhanced by magnetic fluctuations. At low T’s, K stays constant and the enhanced Korringa relation of sT1...
متن کاملOn the nature of the superconducting gap in the cuprates
Recent experiments indicate that the excitation spectrum of the cuprates is characterised, in the superconducting state, by two energy scales: the “coherence energy” ∆c and the “pseudogap” ∆p. Here we consider a simple generalisation of the BCS model that yields exotic pairing and can describe, phenomenologically, the generic trends in the critical temperature Tc of cuprate superconductors. We ...
متن کاملOn the ”spin-freezing” mechanism in underdoped superconducting cuprates
The letter deals with the spin-freezing process observed by means of NMRNQR relaxation or by muon spin rotation in underdoped cuprate superconductors. This phenomenon, sometimes referred as coexistence of antiferromagnetic and superconducting order parameters, is generally thought to result from randomly distributed magnetic moments related to charge inhomogeneities (possibly stripes) which exh...
